Enjoy a masterclass hosted by Jesús Martínez Bujanda Mora, the fifth-generation of the winemaking family, who will guide you through Reservas, Gran Reservas and innovating modern style Rioja - Inspiración - all matched with authentic British tapas dishes.
Bodegas Valdemar, based in Oyón, Rioja Alavesa was established in 1889 by Joaquin Martínez Bujanda, and today remains an independent family owned and run estate. The estate owns more than 290 hectares of vineyards across Rioja, which gives them unrivalled control over the quality of the fruit and enables the family philosophy of quality and innovation to be realised across all of their ranges.
The Valdemar style is distinctively modern and fruit driven with good body, structure and ageing potential whilst also being very approachable in their youth: Conde Valdemar is the winery’s classic Rioja range expressing the house style as joven, Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva, whilst Inspiración is a range of limited production wines using indigenous grapes from selected vineyards that represent the cutting edge of Valdemar’s innovative work.
Jesús Martínez Bujanda Mora, Executive Director of Bodegas Valdemar, is the fifth-generation of the founding family. After graduating from the University of Navarra and working in international accounting, he joined the business in 2014 to manage the company with his father, winery President Jesús Martínez Bujanda Irribarría, and sister, Marketing and Public Relations Director Anna Martínez-Bujanda.
Jesús was born in December 1988 in Oyón, the third and last child of Jesús and Carmen. His childhood and youth were spent in Oyón, always around the winery and vineyards. Jesús brings a combination of fresh insight and fifth-generation winemaking grounding to his role as executive director at Bodegas Valdemar.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
