From midday on Saturday 10th September, some of the UK’s most talented and creative chefs will gather at foodie-hub Broadgate Circle to showcase their slider skills and discover who deserves the ultimate title of Slider Decider Champion 2016.
Celebrate all things “Slider” as the chefs rotate on a number of slider stations around the circle selling their unique creations hot off the grills, throughout the day, then once the winner has been crowned, continue the festival spirit and grab a drink from one of the outside bars whilst live music plays into the night.
Last year’s returning champ Adam Rawson, formerly Pachamama is hoping to hold onto his crown with his “Global Traveller” - aged Basque beef patty, truffle aioli, wild rocket, balsamic onions, pancetta and gorgonzola. Other innovative and downright delicious creations will be available to try from Ben Waugh (Maze Grill), Jacques Fourie (Ember Yard), 2014’s Slider Decider winner Tim Anderson and The Botanist Broadgate Circle’s Jay Pullum.
Hosted by journalist and food writer Joe Warwick, all finalists will fight it out in front of food fans from across the capital and a stellar line-up of judges: Alexi Duggins, Editor at Large of Time Out; Jamie Klingler, Founder of National Burger Day and Publishing Manager of Shortlist’s Mr Hyde; Restaurant Critic and Author Andy Lynes, and Mike Gibson, Associate Editor of Foodism.
Take your Saturday afternoon, sandwich it between two brioche buns, and take a big bite – it doesn’t get tastier than this.
