Description
Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder were musical Princes in the '60s who grew into two of the most iconic soul artists of all time. Both are considered among the greatest American singers and songwriters of all time, so it only seems right to play them out against each other in an ultimate battle between Motown royalty.
Both Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder have achieved amazing things in their individual careers: Marvin Gaye was crowned 'The Prince of Motown' following hits like "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)", "Ain't That Perculiar", "I Heard It Though The Grapevine" and his duet singles with singers such as Mary Wells and Tammi Terrel. Stevie Wonder has recorded more than thirty U.S. top ten hits and received twenty-two Grammy Awards, the most ever awarded to a male solo artist.
With both of these extraordinary talents having such prolific discographies to choose from, our incredible house band will be playing a collection of their greatest hits. Expect every feel-good, singalong sound ever made by these two to be on display on the night as we keep you dancing ’til the lights come up and the party's over.
Downstairs you'll find James Riley Trio, one of London's most exciting upcoming talents, providing a soundtrack of thumpin' blues and country.
Our resident DJ Richie Staunch spins vintage dance classics throughout the night.
