Streetfood And Fresh Pints Planned For Glasgow's Biggest Beer Garden This Summer

Cranside Kitchen Glasgow's Biggest Beer Garden

Cranside Kitchen reckons it could be Glasgow's biggest beer garden.

Before you put a big old 'X' through the rest of your summer calendar, we've got some news that is bringing some serious relief after months of lockdown. Pending approval from the council, The Rotunda is planning to turn its car park into a huge outdoor dining and drinking space, with enough room for 200 thirsty patrons.

Dubbing it Cranside Kitchen, the team behind the new opening are the same folks responsible for Halloumi and Bibimbap, meaning we're in safe hands when it comes to satisfying hunger pangs. The new proposals for the Finnieston spot state that the alfresco bar and kitchen will be open seven days a week, with two pergola style marquees and plenty of picnic tables, all designed with social distancing in mind. Dining comes in street food style with menus from sister sites, including Rioja, Pickled Ginger, and La Rotunda, while staff will be required to wear masks and gloves and to maintain a 2m distance. While we still waiting on opening date, as soon as this huge new beer garden gets the green light, you know where to find us.

Cranside Kitchen is hoping to open at 23 Tunnel Street, Glasgow, G3 8HL. Looking for more alfresco inspo? Check out our list of outdoor eating spaces in Glasgow.
