The award-winning chef behind foodie favourite Aizle is opening a new restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town. Noto will be located on Thistle Street and promises to be every bit as delicious as its sister restaurant.
Looking to be an international affair, the eatery is inspired by head chef Stuart Ralston’s time in New York (where he worked with Gordon Ramsay) and will have a focus on Asian cuisine with local Scottish produce at its heart.
The 40-cover restaurant will only open Wednesday to Sunday, giving its staff a four-day working week, something Ralston thinks is important to ensure the very best food and service in the biz. Having previously cooked for the likes of Rihanna, Sarah Jessica Parker and Simon Cowell, we trust that the chef knows what he’s doing.
Alongside daily specials and a weekend brunch menu, there will be staple picks, including a serious eggs benny upgrade in the form of a duck and onion hash served with poached eggs and kimchi hollandaise, and a mouth-watering lobster linguini with XO sauce.
This is Noto going to be one to miss.
