What they say:

Having worked alongside world famous chefs and cooked in some of Britain's most prestigious kitchens, Paul Tamburrini is opening a new restaurant in Edinburgh's Macdonald Holyrood Hotel, called Bistro Deluxe. Catering for 80 diners at one time, the restaurant will be elegantly decorated to match the hotel's luxurious brand. With the help of a talented team of chefs, Tamburrini's menu will explore new flavour combinations by serving classic French recipes that are made using fresh Scottish ingredients and cuts off meat.

What we say:

Born in Glasgow, Chef Tamburrini has worked across Britain alongside names like Marco Pierre White and in Michelin-starred restaurants, including L'Escargot in London and Martin Wishart in Leith. With that experience in his back pocket, his new venture looks to take a culinary concept as old as time itself and add a totally new, Scottish twist to it. The food will be amazing and we're certain Michelin will have its eye on this new Edinburgh based restaurant. If things go well, rumour has it the Macdonald Hotel could even expand Tamburrini's flavours to some of the other 45 venues in its restaurant family.
