What they say:

Mezze dining is at the heart of BABA, but they want to do it unconventionally. This cocktail bar and restaurant are taking your traditional Middle Eastern dishes and drinks and giving them playful twists, such as serving kibbeh pastry with haggis instead of lamb. At the heart of the venue is a bespoke charcoal grill, which sits within an open kitchen and cooks a variety of Scottish lamb, beef and seafood dishes Levantine-style over coals.

What we say:

It's all about fusing the traditional with the unconventional at BABA. The mezze does offer a traditional platter, featuring hummus with zhug, baba ganoush and muhammara or beetroot, hazelnut, orange and whipped feta, smoked salmon and keta taramasalata with pickled cucumber. The cocktails are also mixed with a creative spin, as spices, molasses, za’atar, rose, pomegranate and pickles are all used in the drinks.
