Definitely one of Cardiff's most alternative bars, The Dead Canary is kitted out with 1920s decor with serves ready to wait on you hand-and-foot. Grab yourself a seat in the stunning Grade II-listed building and sip carefully crafted cocktails as the sensual sounds of jazz flow through you.
This isn't your average bar, oh no. This is NQ64 Cardiff. Not only is the city centre spot a wonderland of neon colours and unique graffiti, but it's also filled with retro console and arcade games alongside a mega menu of themed cocktails to boot.
Inspired by the 1980s, The Underdog is a relaxed lounge bar that serves some fantastic cocktails. The sleek space is decked out in dark green walls, exposed brickwork and comfy red sofas, with a glittering disco ball hanging above the dancefloor.

Get ready for the weird and the very much wonderful over at Flight Club Cardiff. This cool activity bar boasts vintage fairground-style interiors, not to mention a jazzed-up version of darts alongside pizza paddles, prosecco and cocktails.

Inspired by the beer halls of Bavaria, Heidi's Bier Bar is a lively venue found on Mill Lane in the city centre. Expect apres ski vibes with a mix of German, Scandinavian and international tunes playing, thanks to DJ sets seven nights a week.
