Brighton Coastal Path - 5 Miles

A simple, but effective route that's serving up some positive vibes. This seaside jaunt will take you westwards out of the centre from Brighton Pier, past The Tempest Inn, Hove and Portslade, on to the neighbouring Southwick. You can finish up at the Monarch's Way, near Shoreham Harbour, to catch your breath while checking out boats docked in the marina and looking across to the picturesque town.

Falmer Hiking Loop - 6.5 Miles

When it comes to Brighton circular walks, Falmer is just a short drive, train or cycle away and has an easy-to-follow track through a leaf-laden forest. There's also a pond you'll pass on the way and beautiful views across the South Downs once you reach Ditchling Road - the perfect spot for a lunch break. From there, just venture down the lane back to the village and head back to the city for a post-trek pint at The World's End

Prepare to battle oncoming waves if you're here at high tidebut hey, it's all part of the fun. The Undercliff Walk boasts a winning combo of beach vistas, white cliffs and crackin' pints, courtesy of The Watershed. Beginning at Kemptown, follow the seaside trail to Saltdean, the home of a cool Grade-II listed lido, stopping off for a drink at the bar on the way.

Brighton To Lewes Walk - 7 Miles

A top pick for gorgeous South Downs rambles, none are as easy to access from Brighton as this one. Starting from Grand Central, head out beyond Brighton Racecourse until you reach a track that'll take you onto the National Trail; where miles of grassland and impressive views await. Pass by Kingston, a cutesy village with 14th-century cottages, before joining Jugg's Road for the final schlepp to Lewes Castle.

Hassocks Walk - 5 Miles

Just a short train ride from Preston Park station - not far from the stylish Park View - Hassocks is a quaint country hamlet with a wealth of farmland. Setting off from the station, wander through Butcher's Wood and numerous fields until you get to Hurstpierpoint. From here? You can start making your way back via the high street and golf course.

Starting in Hanover, one of Brighton's hilliest neighbourhoods, this trek will take you through a plethora of colourful seaside cottages, all before following Queen's Park Road into the vibrant streets of Kemptown. If you've worked up an appetite, venture to The Charles Street Tap for hearty fare, such as burgers and roasts.
