Description

Swigging next to the seafront comes a brand new Brighton boozer with something wholly unique under its belt. Utilising the space that once was Life, The Tempest Inn is beachfront boozing with literal cave craft.

Boasting cool cave interiors and lantern lit lighting with a dozen booths to book and choose from, The Tempest Inn is one of the most unique craft caverns yet. Hailing itself as a pub and refusing to adorn the beachfront club theme, The Tempest Inn promises not only a wholly distinct theme, there's a large room to be found above where supper clubs, live music and events are set to take place.

Guests looking to gorge on lush liquids at The Tempest Inn will be able to lock their lips around cocktails the likes of an Espresso Martini and Seagrog; while those looking for beer can get your mitts on Laine's Pale Ale, Caledonian Three Hop and more.

Cave themed capers? The Tempest Inn is a seafront bar and restaurant aimed at locals and those wanting to avoid the tourist hotspots; I couldn't wait to take a visit to see if it delivered. The Venue Just opposite West Street and a stone’s...

We'd made a booking for a hen do...7 of us and from the moment we arrived till the moment we left we had the best host- Alicia!! She made us feel soo welcome and relaxed. We loved the interiors and setting. Would definitely recommend this pub by the sea front. Could not ask for a better venue for our celebration.

Perfect location right on the beach, lovely for night and day drinking! They open up a hatch in the summer so you can stay outside and the queues are less busy :)

This is a great place to be in the summer. They open up a tiki bar next to their beach seating area. Really nice selection of craft beers and they also let us eat our own fish n chips!

Great place to go on atmosphere and excellent prices on drinks. The doorman nearly ruined the evening as it was my husbands surprise 30th birthday where people had travelled all over from Brazil, Australia and Europe. He refused him entry he looked about 18 himself! The manager had to allow him in. There was no apology for the inconvenience or the attitude from the doorman which was entirely inappropriate. Would have got 5 stars but the first impressions weren't good Visited The Tempest Inn on 2016-09-17

The place is fantastic. Great vibe, right at the seafront, great service. The only detail is the horrible booking service, which only allows reservations until 20.00 at the latest, and staff are not really helpful on that matter. Visited The Tempest Inn on 2016-07-15

Very cool, quirky, central venue. Good music, vibe and drinks. Will be back next time we are down Brighton. Were very accommodating when we weren't able to make our earlier booking, slotted us in later. Cheers! Visited The Tempest Inn on 2016-07-23

We'd booked 2 of the caves for 10pm on a Friday night and had a great time. The drinks were nice and staff accommodating - important as it was a bit of a reunion occasion. Visited The Tempest Inn on 2016-02-26

The Tempest is a great place to grab a seafood feast. The Crab Boil is a must - it is absolutely delicious and good value. The staff were great and the place had a nice atmosphere. Controversially, If I had to choose between Riddle and Finns and the Tempest the Crab Boil would win me over every time!

Brilliant night on Friday for my partners birthday Ben and all the staff were great and friendly and helped to make it a great night. nothing was too much for them . we all danced for hours to classic 70's disco music . would highly recommend this venue for our age group 50 - 60 as Brighton does not really cater for us anywhere else DJ had all original vinyl records to add to the authenticity. Caves are really great and makes this a very unusual venue . Will definitely go again Tnx 4 a memorable night Visited The Tempest Inn on 2016-01-22

A very lovely and atmospheric venue- booked the upstairs function room for my 30th and it was great.var opened upstairs at 9 and the DJ was there-although only thing was I didn't know he was going to be there in the room so it was just a bit too loud-only criticism! The staff were extremely helpful on the phone granting me a choice of table and insuring that we were greeted with out wine and bar snacks on the table. The scenery was very atmospheric which made it a perfect venue for a first date. Visited The Tempest Inn on 2015-11-03

Reserved the upstairs space for my birthday. Perfect! A little private space but still getting the music from the DJ. Staff were polite and brilliant. Definitely recommended for your celebration.

Fantastic venue for our joint birthday parties. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, great selection of drinks, our DJs had all their needs met, dancing outside. What more could we want. Would like to do that all over again.

Fantastic evening. We reserved the space upstairs. Matt was so attentive and nice - ensuring that our food was out on time and that only we had the space. The music was turned down in our area so that we could hear ourselves. Great food, beer, music, location. Couldn't have wished for a better evening.

Booked a table for my birthday - had an awesome time, great atmosphere, buzzy but not so loud we couldn't talk - stayed for hours, drank the world (great choice of drinks!) and the lovely staff looked after my pressies for me until the next day. Amazing views also. Loved it.

Great food, the best view in Brighton and a nice change from the usual Seafront places. Try the Scallops or the meat sharing board both are very delicious. The Tempest also has lots of Ales that are locally brewed and an extensive wine list.
