What they say:

Taking the bones of the dated 78 Bar and transforming it into a plush plot for creative Custard Factory crooners and cool kids alike, Alfie Bird's is set be the newest kid on the Digbeth block. Brought to this up and coming quarter by Damien Fell and Andrew Purvis, Alfie Bird's is set to boast three floors of unique spaces with their own live music venue, The Oobleck, to boot. From a gourmet pizzeria and cocktail lounge to top floor event space, The Loft, Alfie Bird's have wasted no time in utilising the best of this off-kilter Digbeth plot for 'gourmet eats and beats'.

What we say:

With their insistence on the creative and 'gourmet eats and beats', guess what guys, we're so sold. While we know that 78 Bar held favour in a few hearts, it's about time that this smashing Custard Factory space had something a little more up to date, and shall we say cool, to its name. From crafty cocktails and stone-baked chow to their very own warehouse faring gig venue out back, it looks like Alfie Bird's will be utilising this unique Digbeth space to no party end. Here's hoping for a venue that offers a true reflection of the forward thinking denizens that Digbeth and the Custard Factory both boast.
