What they say:

Update: The Charter Rooms are no longer opening.

Arriving in Birmingham’s Grade II listed Great Wester Arcade is The Charter Rooms. The venue channels its historic aesthetic throughout its design, basing it on old-school salons and drawing rooms with plush curtains, rich wooden floors and large, Victorian-style armchairs. Set across two floors, the upstairs hosts a gin school and a private area available to hire for functions. The Charter Rooms' impressive spirits collection will line the entirety of the back bar next to exposed brickwork walls.

What we say:

The Charter Rooms is another bespoke business arriving into The Great Western Arcade. Its neighbours include vegetarian restaurant 1847 and specialist delicatessen Anderson & Hill, and the venue plans to continue this specialisation trend. The Charter Rooms will offer wines, cocktails and spirits, with a focus on the gin – and with this being the first bar of Langley’s Gin’s producers, Charter Brands, it makes sense. Gin lovers will be very pleased at the fact Langley’s No. 8 Gin and Langley’s Old Tom Gin taking prized place on their shelves.
