One of a few canal side bars in Birmingham, the Flapper is perfectly positioned live music venue in Birmingham. On the outskirts of Convention Quarter, The Flapper is a hub for music lovers and indie rockers looking for chilled out drinks and a local gig or two. Spread over two floors one complete with pool tables and lounge seating, the other an intimate gig venue and thanks to the second floor drinks terrace you can sip your bevy canalside in the sunshine.

If it's a chilled out casual drink you're after, that's exactly what you will get from Bank bar in Brindleyplace. A sophisticated restaurant bar, Bank is an ideal retreat for after work drinks in Birmingham. If you fancy a something a bit more exotic from your tipple, try one of their tailor made cocktails and why not take it outside to their seating area which over looks the vibrance of Brindleyplace.

A dapper restaurant bar in the Mailbox complex, Penny Blacks serve up traditional British dishes with a fine range of wine and fancy fizz to match. Ideal for some canal side drinks in summer, this charming pub is even more appealing. Fancy adding a bit of fizz to your Friday? Get yourself a bottle of Prosecco at Penny Blacks for just £12.95, not a bad way to start the weekend!
