The 2023 Winners For The Great British Pub Awards Are In And We're Seriously Impressed

Great British Pub Awards

If there's one thing us Brits are proud of, it's our vast selection of pubs (how could we not be?).

You know the Oscars? Well, the Great British Pub Awards took place on 19th September and it's basically the same thing but instead of giving out gongs for actors, they give them out for really really great pubs. There were categories for all sorts in this year's ceremony, from the Best Pub For Dogs to Best Pub to Watch Sport and Best Community Hero to Best Pub Garden.

The shortlists for all categories were nothing short of spectacular and they covered the length and breath of the country, but although they're all winners in our eyes, only one takes home the glory (and a shiny trophy). If you fancy booking some award-winning pubs over the next however long, here are some to keep an eye on.

Best City/Urban Pub: Turk's Head, Twickenham, Greater London

Best Pub for Dogs: The Bellflower, Garstang, Lancashire

Best Pub for Food: The Loch & The Tyne, Old Windsor, Berkshire

Best Pub Garden: Gaggle of Geese, Buckland Newton, Dorchester, Dorse

Best Pub to Watch Sport: The Royal Dyche, Burnley, Lancashire

Best Sustainable Pub: Stroud Brewery Taproom, Stroud, Gloucestershire
