Where Is Bridgerton Filmed?

Bridgerton is filmed up and down the UK, from London to Bath, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. But there are some staple sites that we see again and again throughout the series, from stately homes to gorgeous gardens.

Where Is The Bridgerton House Filmed?

Many scenes are filmed in the Bridgerton family home, which is said to be in Mayfair, London. These scenes actually take place at Ranger's House, a striking Georgian villa on the edge of Greenwich Park (which you can visit), as well as 19th-century Halton House near Aylesbury. The latter has also been featured in The Crown and Downton Abbey.

Where Is The Featherington House Filmed?

No. 1 Royal Crescent in Bath makes up the exterior shots of this grand house, while the inside is Hatfield House in Hertfordshire. Both of these buildings are available to visit, so you can live out your regency dreams.

Where Are The Outdoor Scenes Filmed?

In series two, we first saw Basildon Park in Berkshire, used as the Featherington family’s garden. This was also the site of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington’s first kiss. Painshill Park in Surrey is often seen during romantic walks, picnics and any scenes set on Primrose Hill. As for the horse riding scenes in series two, Ashridge Estate in Hertfordshire created those gorgeous countryside views. Plus, the streets of Bath are often used for scenes like visiting the Modiste Dress Shop, or any time the characters venture out into public society.

Where Is Benedict's Cottage Filmed?

A primary location in series four is Benedict's Cottage, the place where much of Benedict’s growing feelings for Sophie take place. Loseley Park in Surrey is the real-life site of this house, though there is no lake on the estate, so that lake scene was shot elsewhere.

Is Bridgerton Filmed In A Studio?

Of course, there are just some scenes in Bridgerton that are not able to be filmed at real life stately homes. In these cases they film at Shepperton Studio in Surrey, and a large percentage of series four was shot here - using beautifully crafted Georgian interiors.
