One of this generations finest violin players, Daniel John Martin travels from Paris to join some of London's best gypsy jazz musicians to bring you an evening of Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grappelli and original jazz manocuhe of the highest calibre! His fretboard pyrotechnics coupled with his warm charm and stage charisma guarantee and unforgettable evening!

Daniel John Martin (aka ‘DJM’) is a world renowned Anglo-French violinist and vocalist. One of the most active and valued members of the Paris jazz scene, he was the long time MC of Gypsy jazz concerts and jams at “Aux petits joueurs”, where you can hear many of the best players in the world, who wander in casually to a play a few numbers. Daniel has worked alongside many of the greats of the jazz manouche world, including Angelo Debarre, Romane, Adrien Moignard and Boulou Ferré. After studying at the famous Paris Conservatoire, and touring and recording with the late great Didier Lockwood, he has released several successful albums, most recently “Parisian Impromptu” with friend and collaborator Mayo Hubert. Recent collaborations with former Miles Davis guitarist Robben Ford have received high acclaim indeed!

"Daniel John Martin a violinist that I've had the pleasure of working with and admired for years, plays this music with energy and ease" - Robben Ford (former Miles Davis guitarist)

"With Daniel John Martin, the Manouche constellation is growing... and a star of the first magnitude!" - Michael Bedin

“A unique and charismatic performer and one of the most sought-after violinists of his generation!” - Le Quecumbar (London)
“To describe DJM as a virtuoso performer is like calling Lionel Messi a half-decent footballer. It is all but impossible to convey to those who’ve yet to hear the Paris-based violinist at a gig just how good he is” - Be Bop Spoken Here magazine
