Be whisked away to a wonderland of lush foliage at this high tea experience.

Have we found the prettiest place for dinner in Sydney? The Grounds of Alexandria is without a doubt one gorgeous spot, but now they’re upping the ante with brand spanking new menus for spring, along with Insta-worthy private dining experiences.

The Potting Shed and The Cafe are adding limited edition sweet treats to their delightful lunch and dinner menus. From a pink pavlova, a rosewater meringue with mascarpone, jasmine and pistachio cream, to the secret garden, an almond sponge with custard, caramelised apple and garnished with dry flowers. Both restaurants are decorated with signature rustic-chic interiors and offer stunning views of the garden path.

Taking high tea to the next level, The Grounds of Alexandria also offer a luxury afternoon tea package for parties of four and above. Tucked away at the top of a narrow spiral staircase, The Secret Garden is a truly whimsical setting, adorned with overgrown vines and a birds-eye view of The Arbour below. Tuck into their tasty bites such as smoked salmon and horseradish cream cheese on rye, scones with Chantilly cream, and wash it all down with tea, coffee or fresh fruit juices.

The Grounds of Alexandria can be found at 2 Huntley Street, Alexandria, NSW 2015. Dining packages start at $89.95 per person and walk-ins for The Potting Shed and The Cafe are welcome, but only available until the 25th of April. Discover more places to eat outdoors in Sydney right here.
