MOSU is a new Japanese restaurant in Barton Arcade, promising a taste of Tokyo in the heart of Manchester. The space takes inspiration from Japan's backstreet izakaya bars, where casual drinking and dining is combined with a lively environment.
The 70-cover basement restaurant will have an open kitchen and a robata grill where meat and seafood will be cooked over binchotan coal. Launching in spring, MOSU will fuse Japanese elements with an elegant twist, utilising British seafood along with fresh daily imports from Tokyo's Tsukiji fish market.
Furthermore, MOSU will have its own bar area, serving signature cocktails, beer and wine, along with an extensive collection of sake.
