Thought that meat-free dining was just fake chicken and jackfruit burgers? Not if Black Leaf has anything to do with it. Located in neighbourhood bar Alvarium, this new all-vegan restaurant is serving up quirky dishes in an underground space.
With a menu created by award-winning chef Adam Leavy, Black Leaf focuses on 3-course feasting with wine and beer to complement each dish.
Expect everything from scotch eggs with creamed turnips to charred watermelon with 'feta', pickled cucumber, sesame and basil oil. There's even an espresso risotto and dessert in the form of pistachio crème brûlée.
And when you're done with all that, head upstairs for a taste of Alvarium's vegan cocktail menu.
