Manchester’s Prettiest Pub Garden Is Ending Summer With A Sunset Cinema

The Wharf | Sunset Cinema | DesignMyNight Close the summer off with a quirky movie night at The Wharf.

There’s no doubt The Wharf is the place to be when the sun in shining in Manchester. Known for its beautiful and expansive garden lined with luscious shrubbery, trees and canalside views, the space is made even more impressive with its own bridge crossing and water fountain. Which makes its choice of movies even more fitting…

To close off the summer season, the Castlefield pub will be screening two classics this September. The first? Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Romeo + Juliet’ starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, often hailed for its style and soundtrack. Following this, ‘The Italian Job’, the renowned 1960’s drama with Michael Caine and that iconic Mini Cooper chase scene.

Tickets to the outdoor screenings include an arrival drink, popcorn and pick ‘n’ mix to munch away on as the movie plays. Seating will come in the form of deck chairs and cosy beanbags, just make sure to wrap up and bring blankets as there are a limited number available at the venue.

The Sunset Cinema takes place Friday 27th to Saturday 28th September at The Wharf, 6 Slate Wharf, Castlefield, Manchester, M15 4ST. Films start at 7pm but please allow time to secure seating. Tickets are £15.
