Deep-fried dinner anyone?

Everything’s better when it’s battered, right? Well, this chip shop in Manchester is going the whole hog this Christmas and deep frying a whole darn dinner.

The Chippy on Burton Road, famed for its deep-fried black pudding, are launching the ultimate festive take on a chippy tea. That includes deep-fried turkey, deep-fried pigs in blankets and deep-fried brussels sprouts. Thought that was it? Oh no… don’t forget about the crispy coated stuffing balls, a turkey and stuffing fritter, and Brie and cranberry parcels.

Then there’s the beast that is the ‘blow out Christmas platter’, which include a turkey and vegetarian Christmas dinner served with chips and gravy. Polish off with a deep-fried Christmas pudding with ice cream, and you’re all set for a delicious, battered feast.

The deep-fried chippy tea is available at The Chippy at, 178 Burton Rd, Manchester M20 1LH. It’s available to order online or dine-in until Sunday 5th January, opening times vary.
