Grand Pacific Launches

The past few weeks have seen some great times in Manchester within the drinks industry. Firstly, the new Grand Pacific opened with much fanfare as Living Ventures added a secluded staircase from their Australasia site, leading to a mini version that includes an outside Oceania decking area that captures the evening sun amongst a selection of the Australasia food and drink menu. Located along The Avenue and down the way from another favourite haunt The Oast House.

Cocchi Masterclass at Epernay

Giulio Cocchi, the famous Italian brand of sparkling wines and vermouth, gave a wonderful insight into their history and portfolio at Epernay a few weeks ago. Hosted by family member Roberto Bava, a selection of names including Cocchi Americano (perfect for your Vesper) were sampled, alongside pairing with some of their very own sparkling wines and Roberto’s own chocolate praline. Well, he is the President of the Italian Chocolate Federation too! A great insight into a widely used brand, so expect bars including Epernay and Kosmonaut to start creating you all something with a little more Italian style!

G'Vine Goes Vegan

Talking of G’Vine, the gin brand collaborated with local chef Iain Devine and company DineIn Out at the weekend to bring a six course meal with one theme in mind – vegan. The aptly named V’Gin evening consisted of each course either infused with G’Vine or matched with a G’Vine cocktail, including Negronis, Basil Smash and Dirty Martinis complete with frozen olive and olive brine garnish.
