Moulin Rouge-Inspired Late Night Cabaret Club To Open in Manchester

Now Open

Promising Parisian-like decadence and sophistication in the heart of Manchester, Whiskey Down is the newest late night concept from IMPOSSIBLE. The theatre-style cabaret venue will be split across two floors with an adult performance space and opulent leather booths housed on the first floor, and a basement level with themed rooms for private events.

Taking inspiration from London’s The Box and Moulin Rouge in Paris, the space is aimed at men and women seeking a night of naughtiness, intrigue and a little bit of sultry entertainment. Owner Aaron Mellore insists the new opening is different from outdated private men’s clubs, stating, “We wanted to create something more female inclusive, more act based, with an artistic hint of ‘eyes wide shut’ and ’50 shades’. A naughtier version of IMPOSSIBLE for an older, more exclusive audience and very female friendly."

With interiors inspired by High Hefner's LA mansion, and performers serving champagne, prosecco and whiskey, it seems Whiskey Down will evoke a sense of old school opulence while also allowing women-only evenings. The venue will operate a strict social media ban and no touching policy, but still encourages your imagination to run wild.
