Time to create a shiny personal zhush on one of your favorite t-shirts, the kids tote bag or something very cool for dad this Fathers day!

This workshop is an introduction to a textile technique using a heat press which heats up to 140 degrees. At the beginning of the workshop Nicole will show you a collection of samples, followed by a demonstration - screen printing with the use of gorgeous coloured foil, glue, heat and your creative flare.

A rage of surfaces will be provided for you to sample onto such as leather and cotton. Foiling is transferring metallic film to fabric/paper using a heat press. This can be applied using foil adhesive (a bit like glue) painting or screen printing your designs directly onto a surface. Once the adhesive is dry the foil is placed on top and pressed for 10 seconds.

Nicole Line Workshops

Nicole, a graduate from University for the Creative Arts Farnham studied Textiles for Fashion and Interiors and frequently runs a selection of workshop events around London.

The idea is to show local communities how to use Nicole's equipment without being in a professional studio. The workshops are aimed at beginners through to experienced artists and the relaxed environment allows both abilities to mix together and collaborate, sharing ideas, techniques and developing concepts. At the end of the workshop participants will have learnt how to use the equipment, where to source the materials, how to set up a studio space at home.
