You flick through the channels on the TV: a Band-Aid commercial, nappies, Coca-Cola, a cooking show, an ad for cold cream… everything so dull and ordinary. You sigh. Another flip of the remote, but this time — nothing. The screen goes black. Standby. Slowly, the static clears. A wave of glorious music rises. The air shifts, charged with something electric. You lean closer, mesmerised. You begin to feel... transported.

The Haus has been waiting for you.

Once the jewel of a golden age that never existed, the Haus of de la Croix remains untouched by time, a place suspended between decades, belonging to none but itself. The air is thick with the scent of cigars and old perfume, heavy and lingering like the ghosts of decadent parties past. Velvet drapes sigh in the flickering candlelight. The wallpaper peels in places, but the glamour? Undimmed. The Haus doesn’t let time decide when it’s finished — it simply exists, eternal, waiting...

HAUS OF DE LA CROIX
Undimmed. The Haus doesn’t let time decide when it’s finished — it simply exists, eternal, waiting. One by one, strange and dazzling visitors arrive — enigmatic souls plucked from other times, each stepping into the Haus to perform. Each act is a doorway to an era that never was, yet somehow feels achingly and hauntingly familiar, a sense of nostalgia you’ve never felt. A fire artiste with a glint of madness in their eye. A chanteuse whose voice rises like a siren’s call from a time long past. Each performance is an offering to the Haus, a slice of something sublime. This is no ordinary cabaret. Haus of de la Croix is theatre. The line between audience and character blurs, and as the night unfolds, you realise: you’re no longer just a spectator. You’ve become part of it. Welcome to a fever dream wrapped in velvet, drenched in champagne, and bathed in the soft flicker of gaslight and glitter. You’ve never seen anything like this — and once you’ve stepped inside, you may never want to leave.
