Ellis & Rose's act is dated, unfashionable and belongs in the comedy bin – according to one famous and respected comedian. But they're back and more determined than ever to put their numerous and violent differences aside to prove that scumbag wrong! The award-winning duo return with their unique brand of anarchic idiocy. Join them as they take comedy into another dimension, in this high budget arena spectacular!

Gareth Ellis and Richard Rose have been performing together since 2012 and this is their fourth full-length Fringe show as Ellis & Rose. An affectionate tribute to, and sly subversion of, the traditional double-act dynamic, Richard is the pompous goon with delusions of grandeur, and Gareth the adorable simpleton. However Richard's sudden bouts of aggression would suggest a man who really is on the brink of collapse, and there is evidence to suggest that behind the clownish exterior, Gareth may well be a full-blown psychopath. There is no straight man per se, one is just mildly less dangerous than the other (but which is which?)

Being both a part of, and in some ways, a grotesque parody of, the great double-act tradition is partly what influenced this show. With it they hope to explore the fundamental strangeness of what it is to be a double-act, whilst trying to get to the bottom of its seemingly timeless appeal. It is both a genuine celebration and almighty piss-take of the classic art form to date.

Ellis & Rose are winners of a Malcolm Hardee Comedy Award, London Cabaret Award Nominees (for Best Alternative Act) and were included in The Scotsman’s 2013 Edinburgh Fringe Round-Up and Time Out’s Edinburgh Fringe A-Z 2014

'The best double-act I've seen in years' (Harry Hill).

'The best thing I've seen in ages' (Phil Kay).
