When Ashlea Lauren steps into the spotlight as her newest on stage persona Evie Ivory “the songbird siren”, audiences get a show they won’t forget. Ivory is a vintage style vocalist combining a powerful singing voice with a saucy burlesque act. Ivory’s setlist includes a collection of songs that “spans the decades with well-loved swing, jazz, classic musical theatre, and country songs from the 1920s right through to modern-day but always, of course, with that decadent, vintage style,” says Lauren.
Based in Chelmsford, Essex, England, Lauren has a love for performing that was born at an early age. “I’ve been performing in some way or another since I was a tot,” says Lauren. “Professionally, I have worked within the entertainment industry across musical theatre, cabaret, cruise ships, hotels, holiday parks, pantomime and interactive theatre. Entertaining has been at my core for as long as I can remember and I couldn’t imagine doing much else. My recent venture has been the ‘birth’ of my vintage stage persona – Evie Ivory. Born from the desire to perform, a vintage heart, and the intrigue of the burlesque underworld.
