PHIL ZIMMERMAN
is a comedian, film and TV actor, singer/ songwriter, Buddhist peace activist and former comedy club promoter. He is new show Killing Granny enjoyed a sold-out run at the 2021 Edinburgh Fringe and will be appearing at other festivals this year including Leicester and Brighton.After several appearances at the Edinburgh Fringe, in 2018 Phil performed his first hourlong solo show - 67 Arseholes, a high-energy off-the-wall mix of physical comedy, and observational tirades directed against establishment lies and corruption, a riotous rant against a world gone bonkers. In 2019 he made it to Hollywood in his biggest acting role so far as one of the main villains in Tim Burton’s live-action remake of Disney’s Dumbo where he had scenes with Danny Devito and Colin Farrell, and followed this up with the main comic role in the epic Sainsbury’s Christmas advert, sporting outrageously wispy sideburns.
