Basement Galley started the Underground Supper Club on their 1967 decommissioned London Underground carriage in Walthamstow as a high-end showcase for ambitious tasting menus and fine dining.

In 2017, they are opening the doors not just in the evening but with a delicious brunch offering - think fine dining meets supper club meets brunch, including bottomless tea and freshly-ground coffee galore!

Expect a three course brunch from Basement Galley's acclaimed chefs - yes, there will be dessert! And all of that will take place in their against the backdrop of mellow jazz on a Saturday morning. There is no better way to start the weekend.

Do you cater for dietary requirements? Yes. There is a section for that when you buy your ticket. Chefs at the Underground Supper Club can cater for most religious or allergy requirements as long as they know in advance; otherwise they won't be able to cater for you on the night.

Is there a dress code? No. Please feel comfortable. Some people like to dress up a bit but others choose the t-shirt and jeans options. We just want you to enjoy your evening!

Is this a BYOB event? Well...As the Pump House site is a pop up venue we aim to cover our events with Temporary Licensing: so all being well we should have a fantastic bar onsite offering carefully selected wines, superb spirits from Herefordshire's Chase Distillery and great local beer from Walthamstow's Wildcard brewery.

Does the tube carriage move? Sadly not. Even though the photos might suggest otherwise, the decommissioned 1967 Victoria Line carriage is completely stationary at the Pump House Museum in Walthamstow.

Is the tube carriage heated? Yes. However, during the winter months you may wish to wear something a little warmer should a draft slip through. If you need a little more warmth, then ask us for one of our cosy red blankets....or hit the bar!

Will I be sitting next to people I know? Sort of. Despite silver service and high-end food, it's a supper club, NOT a restaurant. The organisers will try to accommodate people who book together close to each other, but please be prepared for sitting next to the odd stranger as well due to the layout of the carriage: it's been proven time and time again that guests who get to know fellow diners in this way get the most out of the evening! If you would prefer some privacy, we recommend booking one of our tables of 4 or VIP Booths.

is there a cancellation policy? YesBookings can be cancelled up to 7 days before the event. A new transfer to a new date can be requested. Refunds can only be given if the cancelled ticket can be resold. No refunds can me made if the ticket is cancelled with less than 7 days to go before the event. No refunds or booking transfer can be made on the day of the original booking. Transfers and refunds are made at the discretion of Basement Galley management.

Such a great experience! My boyfriend and I are doing A-Z Dating, so this was the perfect date for 'U'! We had such a great time and a totally different experience to what we have ever experienced before. The food was out of this world. A real treat to try something different, and will definitely recommend to our friends! Visited Basement Galley on 2017-05-13

Although initially tricky to locate (make sure you follow Google Maps and not Citymapper) this brunch was amazing. Booked a VIP table for two which includes a bottle of Prosecco and your own table with a three course meal. It's a bit odd to be eating on a tube at the start but the music helps you forget all your commute horror stories and enjoy this quirky experience. The food was all really tasty, the Bloody Caesars were amazing, the service was really great and the surroundings are pretty cool. I was a bit worried the carriage would still be underground but it's in a nice museum courtyard surrounded by old steam trains and double deckers. The surrounding area is really nice too. I'd definitely recommend it for the other serial brunchers out there who have tried all the standard brunches that London has to offer Visited Basement Galley on 2017-05-13
