We're very excited! There hasn't been an event quite like this in London before.
Inspired by the Swedish tradition of 'Fika', the Scandinavian Social is about taking a load off, having a break, and enjoying socialising in an informal environment. Take some time off to come and meet lots of new people with no pressure, in a Scandinavian themed setting.
Fika is about forgetting work. Taking a Fika pause from the London rat race and being inspired by people, ideas, and information.
THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL. One Single Night may be about dating, but Fika isn't really about dating at all, it's the 'non-date date'. Therefore, contrary to our normal events, the Scandinavian Social is going to be open for all to attend. Of course, you may still end up meeting someone special, but that is not the overriding aim. This intends to be a mind broadening, social circle widening, knowledge increasing, imagination pushing, inspiring event!
Have you ever come across the Norwegian Halling?
What about the Finnish Sisu or Eukonkanto?
The Swedish Dalahäst?
By the end of the Scandinavian Social you will know what all of these obscure terms are.
Savour the taste of Sweden with a fully stocked bar of Swedish beers, ciders and aquavit. You can also order delicious food that includes Pytt I Pann and Swedish meatballs whilst the sound of Scandinavian music fills the room.

Buying tickets:
Early bird tickets are £5, Standard Tickets are £7.50, and there will be a limited number available on the door for £10. (First come, first served). Please book now to avoid disappointment.

Smart/Casual. And if you want to wear something Scandinavian, please go right ahead!

The Venue
There's a long list of reasons to visit the vibrant Nordic Bar, a homage to all things Scandinavian, situated within a stones throw of Oxford Street. To start with, there's an impressive list of Scandinavian beers, sophisticated wines and refreshing cocktails to choose from. There's some indulgent Scandinavian grub here too, including traditional Swedish meatballs, and you can enjoy them all whilst mixing with a effervescent, lively crowd. Head down in the evening for a bit of ping-pong or gaze over at one of the venue's big screens showing a variety of sporting fixtures and movies to keep you entertained. We attract people who like experiencing events that are a little bit different. They have an open mind, don't get easily offended, and love wholeheartedly absorbing all the variety that life has to offer. 1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. Tickets can be exchanged against future events after purchase, but no refunds are given.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
