Immersive, informative and interesting historic talk (with games)
on Infamous Highhwaymen of London. The talk covers the time when
London was an interconnection of villages, when roads were in their
infancy - of course, Dick Turpin is discussed, but so are others
worthy of note. Learn about how these guys manipulated the press of
the day and behaved at the time of their executions. Part of a
series of ‘Talks’ being conducted in pubs across London about the
cultural history of the city. Costume obligatory, but strongly
advised. Enough material for a hundred dinner party anecdotes.
Interesting Talks for Thinkers and Drinkers.
