This May, The Century is hosting a full-blown Cuban-themed cigar night, complete with the sultry, soul-shaking beats of Afro-Cuban jazz. And who's at the helm of this wild, smoky ship? None other than the cigar aficionado himself, Joe Berg from Hunters & Frankau.

Joe, that sage of the cigar, will guide your taste buds through the sultry world of Cuban cigars, sharing secrets and stories that each puff reveals. You'll become part of a sacred circle, united by the shared language of smoke and spirit. And what's a Havana night without a bit of tipple to oil the wheels? Sip on authentic Cuban cocktails, each a liquid sonnet to the vibrant heart of the Caribbean. Think of the rum flowing like the very essence of Havana's soul, mingling with the night's magic.

It pains me to give A Curious Invitation such a low review as I normally like their events but this one did not deliver what it promised. There was a lot of just standing around in the freezing cold and only one singular cup of hot chocolate per person. The music mentioned in the description was nowhere to be found. While Dr Green was a good host with lots of interesting facts, I think visiting the locations in this weather didn't add much to the experience as it was waaaay too cold to be standing around watching the performances. It seemed poorly planned and not properly thought out.

There are clubs, and then there’s Sunday Happy Day - no equal, no match. Truly the most uplifting choons, bringing together the warmest friendliest gathering of folk. With Yveelicious at the helm for the past two decades or thereabouts this elevatory celebration rightly holds legendary status.
