Join us for The Other Garden Party, where we fuse this English summertime ritual with the fantastical world of Alice in Wonderland.

Encounter weird and wonderful performances, surreal characters and listen to brass bands in our magical courtyard garden. Then, break with Garden Party tradition and venture inside the RA's Burlington House to explore the Summer Exhibition after hours, and descend into our Victorian vaults to discover our fantastical Wonderland Ball, hosted by Sink the Pink.

Other delights include life drawing by Art Macabre, performances by Perhaps Contraption, theatrical hat making by Fumbalinas, an immersive Mat Hatter's Tea Party by Art of Dining, swing dancing by Uptown Swing, Lewis Carroll-inspired letterpress printing with Alan Kitching, Garden Party games and much more to be revealed on the night.

As with any traditional Garden Party, guests are encouraged to wear hats (with prizes on the night for the most outlandish).

The Vaults bar will remain open, with music and dancing until 11.45pm.

Peyton and Byrne will be selling gourmet burgers, hot dogs, and a selection of summer salads and snacks in the Courtyard. There will be bars located throughout the Royal Academy selling a variety of beers, wine, Prosecco, cocktails and Pimms. Please note, not all bars accept cards, so be sure to bring some cash with you.

Tickets includes entry to the Summer Exhibition, and a Fever Tree cocktail.
