The Prohibition era of 1920s New York is back, and there's only one thing to do: party!
Organised by retro-darlings and speakeasy aficionados, The Candlelight Club, the evening will consist of live jazz, random breakouts of the Charleston, bespoke themed cocktails and of course, plenty of flapper-inspired debauchery. A clandestine pop-up cocktail party with a 1920s speakeasy flavour, the event is hosted from a secret London location completely lit by candles.
To celebrate this age of guile and ingenuity - when drinking suddenly became more glamorous and exciting, ordinary citizens became criminals and for the first time bars became hangouts for women just as much as men - there'll be cocktails made famous in the "speaks" of the Big Apple, live 1920s jazz from the Boomtown Swingalings, and DJing from the one and only Auntie Maureen.
Capturing the energy of the City That Never Sleeps, they will have not one, but two dance troupes, to thrill you with a live dance-off - the Gatsby Girls versus the Gatsby Boys! Who will win? You, the audience, decide. Dress in your best 1920s get up: think flapper dresses, gangsters and molls, or even a dodgy politician - they were all at it!
