Immerse yourself in the joyous energy of electro-swing tunes, take part in a swing dance class, or just have a drink and enjoy the magnificent space of the art-deco Stern Hall.
Inspired by the glamorous swing era, we invited the Electro-Swing Bohemia collective, well known for throwing some of the best electro-swing parties in Europe, to bring their upbeat act to London. Fusing 1930’s swing and jazz with modern electronic music, Czech-o-Slovak DJ duo Swing Thing and Papa Django will be accompanied by saxophone player Matúš Tomala and London based electro-swing pioneer DJ Sacha Dieu. Professional dancers from JazzMAD London will perform an authentic swing & jazz dance routine and lead a free Lindy Hop dance class for all levels in the early party hours, with the whole night left to practice.
A pay bar stocked with craft beers, wines and spirits will be open all night long, and the make-up queen Milllicent Lashes will be offering bespoke makeovers throughout the evening.

Sacha Dieu
French national based in London, Sacha began DJing in the late 90s and is reputed for being one of the pioneers and specialists of Electro Swing, Balkan Gypsy and Global Beats, DJing in the UK. He co-founded and is the resident DJ of “Stranger than Paradise”, the infamous 12 year running Gypsy Burlesque monthly event, held at the Hootananny in Brixton. His mix “(S)winging it” is in the Top 3 most played Electro Swing mixes on SoundCloud, with over 500 plays every day and 348k plays in total.

Swing Thing & Papa Django
Top Performers, Precise Selectors and First Class Elegants. The main pillars of Electro Swing Bohemia and a pair of probably the most sought-after swing and electro-swing DJs in the Czech Republic. Each of their performances is a combination of carefully selected tracks and immense amount of energy. In addition to Czech and Slovak clubs, they have also played in Germany, Austria, Poland, Belgium, France, USA, Mexico and Malta.

JazzMAD
JazzMAD is a London dance company, directed by Sharon Davis. Sharon has danced authentic swing and jazz dances since 2001 and has been honoured to study with some of the original creators and legends of the dance. She holds numerous 1st place titles at the most prestigious swing dance championships around the globe. JazzMAD’s mission is to preserve, nurture and promote jazz music and its authentic dances.

The Czech Centre's mission is to actively promote the Czech Republic by showcasing Czech culture in the UK.
Its programme covers visual and performing arts, film, literature, music, architecture, design and fashion. As well as hosting its own events, the Czech Centre offers support for other groups organising Czech related initiatives in the UK.

4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
