Bringing the Swing
The 'Harry Johnstone Quintet' will be bringing a verity of the greatest songbook & jazz standards, performed by some of the best young musicians the UK has to offer.
The 'Harry Johnstone Quintet' consists of some virtuosic individuals, who independent have performed at some of the most prestigious music venues across the UK. We all have a mutual passion for the jazz tradition, and strive to capture the mood of the flamboyant music that is be-bop of the 1940's & 1950's.

Harry is a 22 year old jazz trumpeter based in London, with a wealth of experience in a variety of genres. Harry has had the great honour of performing alongside some of greatest jazz musicians in the UK and abroad such as: Kim Western (Marvin Gaye), Andy Greenwood, Quentin Collins, Steve Brown, Alec Dankworth, Steve Waterman and others.
Harry is also the winner of the highly prestigious 'BBC Young Composer Competition'. In 2015, his piece was performed by members of the BBC symphony orchestra, as part of the Proms and was broadcasted on BBC radio 3. He has also performed at many notable venues: Ronnie Scott's, Sage (Gateshead), Bridgewater hall, Band on the Wall, as well as other venues across London.
