THE UK'S FIRST OPENLY GAY CABARET ARTISTE SHARES HIS ICONIC MATERIAL

WITH A NEW GENERATION OF SINGERS.

TWO NEW SINGERS EVERY MONTH

Joined onstage by two of today’s hottest Musical Theatre talents, Kurt Kansley (The Lion King; Miss Saigon) and Jessica Sherman (The Sound of Music, UK Tour), the award-winning Mark Bunyan ("one of London’s best kept musical [and] comedy cabaret secrets" – The Stage) gives us his latest offering of wit and whimsy at Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club.

Described as a “comedian à la Oscar Wilde with piano as guest” (The List, Edinburgh) this is a night not to be missed!

The “astonishingly versatile” (The Scotsman) Bunyan is an award-winning musician, lyricist, playwright and novelist. He has been performing at, or near, the piano since 1978 and has entertained audiences across the UK, Europe, and the USA. In 1983, Mark co-founded the Pink Singers (Europe’s oldest gay community choir) and in 1995 he was canonised as St Mark of the Musical Tendency by LGBT activists the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. In 2012, he was the subject of Looking At You Productions’ film Mark Bunyan: Very Nearly Almost Famous; a 2013 official selection at Frameline 37’s San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival.

Over the course of his career, Mark has been described as “one of London’s best kept cabaret secrets” (The Stage) and “one of the great comedians at the piano” (Ned Sherrin, Loose Ends, BBC Radio 4). Time Out magazine named him Critics Choice, calling him “an 'out' Noel Coward. Excellent.”

Further praise for Mark’s work:

“He writes and performs with a rare combination of wit, sensitivity and tenderness... In turn, hilariously funny and extremely moving... he is simply superb.” The Scotsman

“Witty and thoughtful... One of the treats of the Fringe.” Glasgow Herald

“A composer-parodist who restores one's faith in the unfashionable traditions of the witty English musical and intimate revue.”The Observer

“[A] consummate cabaret performer.” The Pink Paper

“One of the most brilliant talents working in the musical theatre and cabaret in this country.” Musical Stages Co UK

“A brilliant pianist, composer and natural entertainer.” Crouch End Journal

“I WISH I’D WRITTEN SOME OF THE SONGS.” – Dillie Keane, Fascinating Aïda
