A Leap Year Special with beautiful songs about the night sky.
Do you also like music that evokes the wonder and mystery of the night sky? In recognition of this intercalary day the beautifully talented Natalia Amy Douglas will celebrate this special occasion with songs about the night sky, moons and stars.
The moon and stars are often used in ballads to provide the imagery expressing the enormity of emotion. In 1960, Mel Tormé went as far as to record a whole album for Verve based on moon songs, called Swingin’ On The Moon.
Tonight, Natalia & her quintet of top London jazz musician will take you on an intergalactic journey with beautifully rearranged jazz standards & poetry inspired by great jazz singers.
