Hunter & The Bear

British group lead by Jimmy Hunter & Will Irvine.

Inspired by artists such as The Band, Dire Straits and Bruce Springsteen, Will & Jimmy started to write and perform as a duo with Jimmy playing lead guitar, mandolin and backing vocal whilst beside him Will on the rhythm guitar and singing lead vocals. Having started the band in Newcastle where they were studying at University they moved to London in 2012 to bring their own brand of power folk to the huddled masses. Gareth Thompson, drums and Chris Clark, bass, completed the line up in 2014 to bring you a live set up you don’t want to miss.

2013 was a hectic year for Hunter & the Bear with notable performances at Hard Rock Calling, Troon and Cornbury Festival, supporting Twin Forks and Shovel & Rope, followed by two sold out headline shows at Islington Academy2 and The Borderline. The band were the main support for the legendary Eric Clapton for his UK tour dates in June, and have a full schedule of festival appearances and gigs lined up for the rest of the summer, including T in the Park in July.

Hunter & The Bear were championed in Music Week as one of their unsigned bands of 2013, followed by support from Radio 2 who have tipped them as ‘One To Watch’ for 2014.

The bands debut EP “Dusty Road” is currently available on iTunes and was Produced by Jamie Bell (Metronomy, Richard Ashcroft and The Rifles). A powerful blend of folk, rock and country music culminating in strong vocal harmonies and soaring guitar parts brings you the signature sound of Hunter & The Bear.
Now back in the studio recording their anticipated second EP due for release this summer these guys are the band to watch in 2014.
Thank Pablo

Their music marries the magic of The Kinks and Paul Simon with the valour of Crosby, Stills & Nash. Thank Pablo are the perfect soundtrack to your summer; it’s music to make you smile.

"They make the proud claim that they've been making happy music since January 2011. They're not wrong"
Tom Robinson, BBC6 Music

"Rather impressive, don’t you think?”
John Kennedy, XFM’s X-Posure show

"lovely tight playing, fresh chirpy songwriting and the 3/4 fairground Wurlitzer moment halfway through is a nice surprise. Another band who’ll be great live…"
'By The Sea' review,

“..brilliant. A real summery vibe. Find your soundtrack to the summer at"
BBC Introducing

Daniel Glover

Roots in Alternative and Indie rock, with a keen eye for writing meaningful, clever lyrical content. Daniel Glover’s heavy and husky voice delivers and leaves a powerful notion that captivates his audience and fans… and he’s Welsh.

“STUNNING!!!!” Zoe Ball, BBC Radio 2 on ‘Heavy Mind’ EP.

“Potent, Utterly Compelling” Foote’s Music Store.

“The voice defies comparison. Just listen to this man’s music” Thebluesmusicblog
Samuel Idwal

"Taking his grandfather’s name to the stage, Samuel Idwal’s music blends modern singer-songwriter stylings with a love of shanties and ballads from old England. The past year has seen him support the likes of Pete Roe (of Laura Marling fame), Rachel Sermanni and George Ezra; freshly emigrated from Leicester to the big smoke to peddle his wares, expect myth, magic, folklore and heartbreak all accompanied by one-minute-delicate next-second-storming fingerpicking"
