’LET GO’

ALBUM LAUNCH

The album titled ‘Let Go’ is an honest and refined but emotionally sharp collection of heartfelt folk/pop songs with elements of gospel and jazz! An exciting album produced by one of UK’s top producers Troy Miller. (Amy Winehouse, Roy Ayres, Chaka Kahn, Laura Mvula, Jamie Cullum, Jacob Collier)

Lauren last released her last album ‘Hidden Here’ in July 2012 at the Powerhouse theatre in Brisbane. Holding no limits, Lauren will be performing with a stellar line-up of first-class musicians. Individually they have played on some of the world’s most prestigious stages alongside some of the biggest names in the music industry, collectively they will defy expectation.

The album will be officially released on all downloading and streaming platforms on the 22nd of March. Lauren and her band will be celebrating the release by putting on a concert to showcase the album and other original tunes.

Lauren’s songwriting started at the age of ten, and through her teens, Lauren was writing folk and pop songs on guitar and piano. She is now acknowledged by her peers as a great composer and performer and was a finalist in the 2012 and 2013 QMusic Awards for two of her jazz compositions. James Morrison the great trumpet player added one of Lauren’s compositions to his ‘best of jazz’ list for QANTAS international and national in-flight entertainment! In February 2013, Lauren was added to the short list of 200 out of 1500 applicants for the APRA Professional Development Awards.

"Lauren's voice and music is incredibly smooth, heartfelt, and evocative – Just gorgeous!"
John Hoffman, Trumpeter & Lecturer
at the Conservatorium of Music, Brisbane, Qld, Australia.

"Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful gift of your CD (Hidden Here). Wow! Stunning work. You have an amazing gift. The musicianship is exquisite, the tonality of your voice and the sparseness of the arrangements – really comforting, compelling and inspiring. Thank you so much!!"
Jeff Pevar – Guitarist, Composer & Producer
(to Ray Charles, Rickie Lee Jones, Crosby, James Taylor, Stills and Nash.)

"There's an intense charisma coming out of your music... it's like a really warm aura that just catches you and won't leave you for a while."
Abbey Road Institute, Berlin

Lauren Lucille – Vocals
Daniel Hewson – Piano
Jo Caleb – Guitar
Dan Drury – Bass
