Come on a psychic rollercoaster of ghosts, ghouls and phantoms from the fog filled streets of London's Embankment and the slum tenements of the East End, to occult experiments in Piccadilly and Stoke Newington and murderous ancient Egyptians in Hammersmith; or perhaps you might prefer the horrors lurking in the suburban shadows of Hackney. Highgate, Enfield and Croydon. This is the capital as imagined by the insane: a world filled with nightmares and visions, occult rituals and unholy sacrifice, a gothic landscape of dark alleys, cemeteries, docks and cobbled streets where Dr Jekyll mixes with Jack the Ripper and anarchists sip absinthe with Dorian Gray and Count Dracula! Here are opium dens next to the haunts of assassins, black magicians and serial killers. Come to the the lost London of the past and the world of modern terrors and face the weird, perverse and disturbing.

Clive Bloom
Professor Clive Bloom is Emeritus Professor of English & American Studies at Middlesex University. He was a historical consultant to the BBC and has written for The Financial Times, The Times, The Guardian, The independent, The Irish Times and the London Evening Standard. He is the author of numerous books on political protest, revolutionary movements, popular culture and gothic literature.

If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
