Emily Wolf plays the music of Amy Winehouse

With a background growing up in Camden, delicate frame and Urban fashion choices, comparisons occur, but it is Emily Wolf's background in Jazz, Soul and Songwriting that have enabled frequent comparisons to Amy Winehouse's Vocal style. Emily Wolf's own musical choices have blended Soul Styling, Jazz Phrasing, and Modern Urban Concepts in her writing and Singing. As well as her own songwriting Wolf has arranged Winehouse's music for 9 piece band. Tonight you will hear Amy Winehouse's music along with some Emily Wolf originals as a 4 piece Jazz/ Funk Band.

 Emily Wolf was from an early age influenced by Vocalists Amy Winehouse, Anita Baker and Erykah Badu. A British born American, she grew up in Hackney and after studying Combined Arts at Durham University. She then moved to Boston USA, invited to study with renowned musicians in the USA at the New England Conservatory of Music and earned a Masters of Music in Jazz Voice Performance while performing around the Boston area. She then relocated directly to New York City to soak up the music scene. Dwelling in Harlem and Manhattan, Wolf developed her Songwriting skills leading her own band performing frequently in venues and festivals on NYC’s Live Music Scene.

Along with working as a Voice Coach, Emily's current music projects include Wolf Sings Winehouse, along with a House music collaboration with prolific DJ Paride Saracendi Wolf's Soulful Vocals resonating in a different aesthetic through Deep House Music.
