This is a a special event for the 10th anniversary of the Orchestra.
BENOIT VIELLEFON & HIS ORCHESTRA
Benoit Viellefon & His Orchestra have become a firm favorite at the most elegant places around the country. The line up and orchestrations are inspired by the hot swinging music that emerged from both sides of the Atlantic in the 1920s 1930s and 1940s. Having just headlined the Twinwood Festival 2019, and performed a sold out show at the Royal Academy of Arts in August, the Orchestra will be performing for those that missed these fabulous concerts,
dancers and listeners alike.
The two previous events at the Paris Grill sold out very fast, please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
THE PARIS GRILL
Benoit Viellefon's Hot Club sells out Upstairs at Ronnie Scotts every two months, but that infamous venue proves too small for such a band as The Orchestra. So Benoit have decided on the Paris Grill, a newly refurbished chic Parisian venue with a Belle-époque feel, and Art Deco bar and a 130 capacity, with a magnificent dance floor and a great atmosphere.
DJ OLIVER CARTERWAKEFIELD
The Orchestra's performance will be supplemented by three sets by DJ OLIVER CARTERWAKEFIELD to the delight of the dancing community. One of the original dj’s at the award-winning club night Mouthful of Jam, Oliver has been a fixture on the London vintage music scene since 2008, making regular appearances at nights such as Shugapush, the International Club, Ain’t Misbehavin’, the Vintage Arts Asylum and the much-missed Black Cotton. A passionate advocate of swing and early jazz, he hosts the weekly radio show Hot Club Du Monde on Resonancefm’.
IMPORTANT:
The food and drinks are not included in the ticket price.
The kitchen will not be open and there will only be a restricted selection of food available.
You'll be able to forget your sorrow with a well supplied bar.
There will be some tickets sold at the door on the day for £15.00
