ARCHIPOL EN CONCERT

ArchiPol is a singer, who writes and performs songs that are not only romantic and melancholic but often sublimely quirky. ArchiPol sings about life in a modern city in all its many facets with the vocal cheekiness reminiscent of Juliette, the musical versatility of Gainsbourg, the dandyism of Jacques Dutronc, whilst giving reference to Boris Vian. He creates intimate songs, each one taking his audience on a journey, with stories that are inviting, atmospheric and full of singular charm. No one resembles another. Yet somehow, in employing his unique writing style and delivering an aural feast, he effortlessly links them all together.

After several years of living in London, ArchiPol returned to France. He is back in the UK to appear in several London concerts, at the Toulouse Lautrec Jazz Club and the legendary Chelsea Arts Club. Onstage, with his cello and his guitar, he also is accompanied by a band of close friends and talented bright young musicians: Romain Malan (cello), Oliver Barwell-Aufray (guitar) and Ayo Vincent (keyboard).

As a young man, ArchiPol chose an eclectic path of study which began in France, continued in the United States and ended in the United Kingdom, where, at the Royal College of Music, he challenged himself to learn one of the most demanding art forms of all: opera. After this extensive training ArchiPol began to forge and create his own unique and entirely individual voice.
