Don’t miss the chance to see Casablanca and Dr Stranglove under the Avro Lancaster (one of our most iconic Second World War Aircraft) at the RAF Museum.
The RAF Museum is teaming up with Venture Cinema for two nights of cinema magic! Relax in front of the big screen with a glass of Mulled Wine, or a cheeky Whiskey hot Chocolate, and a box of popcorn and enjoy these cinematic classics surrounded by our incredible collection of aircraft spanning nearly 100 years of Royal Air Force history. The first of our films is dark satire set in the 60s among the uncertain times of the Cold War, and the second is a romantic classic set at the end of Second World War.
Dr Strangelove
Wednesday 29 November
What would happen if the wrong person pushed the wrong button? Stanley Kubrick dared to ask this during a time of uncertainty and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Dr Strangelove is a jet-black satire starring Peter Sellers, that remains as funny, razor-sharp and relevant today as it was in 1964.
Casablanca
Thursday 30 November
Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman star in this unforgettable Hollywood classic. Casablanca is a captivating wartime adventure brimming with intrigue and romance. Rick Blaine (Boggie) is surprised to come face to face with his one true love Isla (Bergman), and her husband who just so happens to be the famed rebel Viktor Laslo on the run from the Nazi’s.
This event is for over 18s only. Please purchase a ticket for each film. For more information about the films please go to Venture Cinema, and for directions to the RAF Museum.
