Join us at Covent Garden Hotel for the first Winemaker Dinner of 2019 with Giampietro Tinazzo from northern Itay's award-winning Allegrini Estate. The estate, located between Verona and Lake Garda, is regarded as the most acclaimed winery in Veneto and was named Italy's 2016 Winery of the Year by Gambero Rosso, the esteemed Italian food and drink magazine, thanks to a legacy of six generations of wine growing expertise.
Giampietro will host an evening in the stunning surroundings of the Lyric and Fortune Rooms as you enjoy a seasonal Italian dinner. Start the evening with a chilled glass of Prosecco, Spumante, DOC with canapes, before dinner with a starter accompanied by a Tuscan Vermentio 'Solosole' , primi course of Porcini and truffle risotto with La Grola or the award-winning Palazzo della Torre before secondi with Allegrini’s Amarone Classico, an esteemed red wine, respected around the world, before cheese or dessert accompanied by Allegrini's Recioto Classico, a red sweet wine.
£60 per person including canapés and four-course dinner with wine pairings.

The Allegrini family estate covers 100 hectares, across seven vineyards in the heart of Valpolicella Classico. Though they have been growing grapes here for several centuries, Giovanni Allegrini was the first to start bottling wines from the family's vineyards. When he died in 1983, he passed on to his three children - Walter, Marilisa and Franco - a passion for and a commitment to quality wine. They worked together to build on Giovanni's quality ethos until Walter's death in July 2003. Franco now looks after the vineyards and the winemaking, while Marilisa takes charge of sales and marketing.
