FIX FOOD, FIX THE PLANET
WILDFARMED + FRIENDS / JULY 26th - 30th
5 CHEFS OVER 5 NIGHTS, ONE GOAL, FIX FOOD FIX THE PLANET
Wildfarmed has invited a group of talented friends to come together for a week-long pop up, to showcase how food can fix the planet.
Over the course of 5 evenings, 5 of the UK’s most innovative and exciting chefs descend on Silas Yard, formerly Clutch, to dish out some seriously tasty food.
Following his sell out 'RIGHT THEN' Residency at Carousel, MOB Kitchen's Thomas Straker is going to be kicking the week off in style on Monday night.
Taking Tuesday on we have Chantelle Nicholson, zero-waste, Michelin-starred, owner of Tredwell's and All's Well, bringing us her World famous toasties, made with Wildfarmed sourdough from none other than Jolene.
Wednesday night has East London pasta legends, Burro e Salvia, delivering up the best handmade pasta this side of the Eternal City.
Thursday will see the man responsible for single-handedly re-writing the pie game take over the reigns. Lockdown phenomenon Willy’s Pies will be serving up some exclusive pies available for one night only.
Then to close the week, we are bringing the fire, with Chris Roberts a.k.a Flamebaster, the ultimate grill master, who’ll be filling Wildfarmed flatbreads with all kinds of deliciousness from his smoker.
Each night the creators of everyone’s favourite Ice Cream Sandwich, Happy Endings, will be serving up a bespoke flavour sandwich to go with each chef’s menu.
Each flavour is for one night only and will be made with a Wildfarmed biscuit.
Never before has eating food this delicious been so good for the planet and good for you!
You’ll be well on your way to Greta status after hitting the bar - with cocktails featuring Sapling Spirits Vodka, the world’s first climate positive spirit.
Our home for the week is Silas Yard, a social enterprise food hub that transforms waste streams into revenue streams.
To ensure there is minimal waste from the event all of the wooden cutlery used will be turned into woodchip to grow mushrooms and the plates, made from wheat production by-product, will be turned into compost to supply to local businesses.
Wildfarmed brings the concept of rewilding to farming. Our innovative Wildfarmed technique combines the best of nature with modern technology to create a more biodiverse, healthy soil. Founded by award winning farmer Andy Cato, Wildfarmed wheat is not only more tasty and nutritious than conventional wheat, it eats up huge quantities of CO2.
This is flour with the power to save the world.
