THE BBQ CLUB TAKEOVER

Jimmys BBQ Club is opening its doors to some amazing new chefs this year! 

The Jolly Hog is a Bristol based family business run by three brothers Olly, Max and Josh, all totally passionate about quality,  tasty food. To them good food means food full of flavour.  Their award winning food 47 awards and counting is made in the right way, championing animal welfare – they only use higher welfare pigs – whilst considering their impact on the environment by the choices they make. 



On the evening of Thursday 10th August Jimmy Garcia will be joined by Jolly Hog founders Olly and Max for a very special evening of delicious food. They will be serving up a specially designed feasting menu to showcase their fantastic range of produce.

Olly and Max will be happy to discuss all things sustainability including responsible farming and how they became B Corp certified. And Jimmy loves to talk about how chefs, restaurants and caterers can make a big difference by promoting a more environmentally conscious approach to food. Olly’s background as a professional Harlequins rugby player might also come up, but hey, don’t let us tell you what to talk about while you’re tucking in!  

If you’re not around for the evening, don’t worry The Jolly Hog Loaded Dogs and Fries will be making a guest appearance on our street food menu.


Oh, and as we’re bringing a bit of the West Country to Southbank, it’s only right that there’s some great cider on offer to wash this feast down with, so we have Hunt’s Cider making a very special appearance with their Bull Whalloper and Wobbler on draft.

Mini crumpets, double smoked black treacle bacon, brown sauce

Chargrilled mini sausage baguette, salsa verde

BBQ pulled pork hoguettes with dip

BBQ pork belly burnt ends 

Classic honey and mustard pigs in blankets

Smoky rolled porchetta finished off on the BBQ

Blistered romero peppers stuffed with spiced and minced pork,
home grown courgette “baba-ghanoush”

Jimmy’s garden tomato and chilli salsa

Chargrilled British leek with romesco

Ticket prices are per person - this particular feasting event is being done at one long table setting. Please be aware that this event is all about sharing - the food, the opinions and the space!  You’ll still be with your fellow guests but may have a new friend to your right, left or opposite. Please also note that this is very much a meat based event, with only some of the sides and breads being vegetarian.

Locally sourced and made with love - The BBQ club exemplifies everything we enjoy about cooking at pop-ups - alfresco dining, provenance and interaction. Relax and enjoy cooking 6 courses of unique food over tabletop Big Green Egg BBQs curated and assisted by our team. The BBQ Club is summer BBQ dining on the river. Our chefs prepare each course and guide you through how too cook each dish, helping you create your perfect BBQ tasting menu with hints, tips, some spares (if you need them!) and drinks too.

T&Cs

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight WFL Media Ltd and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
13. This is a "Supper Club" style event and all guests are served at the same time and will be on shared tables. Please arrive on time to ensure you receive all 6 courses.
14. This is an outside event, we have cover in case of rain, but if you are booking for an evening session it can get a bit chilly towards the end. Please dress appropriately.
15. We have access to toilets but as this is a pop up they are around a 2 minute walk away.
16. All bookings are final, if you wish to cancel we will try and refill your seats and offer you a refund but this cannot be guaranteed. If you do wish to cancel please give as much notice as possible as we will have more chance of filling the spaces.
