CREATED BY KOSHER INNOVATERS, FOOD STORY
Following the sell-out success of their first pop-up restaurant experience in September last year, Food Story are returning with SOCIAL 2.0: a ticketed dining event taking place over just two nights in February 2019 for 30 lucky guests each night.
Since the first incarnation of SOCIAL back in July 2018, Food Story have gone from strength to strength including being nominated for a prestigious Catey Award in the category “Caterer of The Year”. The team are now thrilled to be bringing another evening of indulgence and modern fine dining to their HQ in North London.
Staying true to their original format, guests can expect to be greeted by a glass of champagne and canapes on arrival before sitting down to enjoy a seven-course tasting menu that will showcase the creativity, skill and forward-thinking that Food Story have become known for. Dishes will include the likes of Seabass ceviche with ponzu & caviar, steamed buns filled with moreish sticky lamb and topped off with a selection of desserts including a tonka bean cannoli.
Guests can choose to enhance their experience further by opting for a full wine pairing menu, or choose wines by the glass or bottle from the carefully considered wine list.
Taking place at Food Story’s HQ in Carlisle Road, SOCIAL 2.0 will offer guests a unique behind-the-scenes insight into the workings of one of the most exciting companies in the hospitality industry today. With just a pane of glass separating the dining room from the kitchen, guests will be given a front row to all the action as they watch the team of skilled chefs creating stunning dishes before their eyes.
Over the last four years Food Story have developed a reputation for their modern and innovative food. They are considered the first of their kind, having changed the perception of what is possible within the kosher sector, which has now had a knock-on effect to the kosher market as a whole. Constant innovation has allowed them to push boundaries and expectations to consistently deliver exceptional hospitality.
SOCIAL 2.0 will be no different, with Executive Chef, David Swann and his team having pulled out all the stops to ensure an unforgettable and delightful experience for those in attendance.
Having spent over 20 years working for some of the greatest Michelin-starred chefs of our generation including Heston Blumenthal and Gordon Ramsay, Swann is promising to bring together the worlds of tradition and that of innovation.
Speaking about the decision to bring SOCIAL back for a second innings, Swann said, “We were overwhelmed by the positive response to our first pop-up in the summer and the demand to make it a regular thing. As it’s an intimate event, the amount of people who are able to join us is limited. Unless people have attended our events, they might not have had the opportunity to try our food. The pop-up allows everyone to come and see what we do and hopefully gives the community a chance to experience great food, in a restaurant environment, with their friends and families.”
SOCIAL 2.0 will take place on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th February 2019.
Tickets will be £120 per head and will include champagne on arrival, canapes and a seven-course tasting menu.
