We’re back at The Hoxton, Shoreditch for, as noted by Peter Bradshaw, an “exhilaratingly hyperactive, hyperventilating portrait of an age when Web 2.0 became sexier and more important than politics, art, books – everything.”

Capturing the fever of Facebook’s startup, The Social Network perfectly portrays the fanatical rivalry that induced one of the biggest phenomenons of the internet age. The mile-a-minute dialogue (straight from a script by the great Aaron Sorkin) and acutely accurate characterisations of the sites main players gives this film a compelling intensity. Jesse Eisenberg is perfectly cast as Facebook’s driving force Mark Zuckerberg, and is supported with some great turns from Justin TimberlakeRooney Mara and Andrew Garfield. The Social Network is a clever film, unravelling the personal stories that led to the sites genesis and revealing that behind a smilier, friendly Facebook facade are some more spiteful origins. Due respect to David Fincher for another insightful work. Enjoy an evening with us in East London, where all tickets include a cocktail and popcorn on arrival. Surely that’s worth a ‘like’?

East London hotspot, The Hoxton, Shoredtich, has been on the Shoreditch scene since 2006. The stylish hotel combines destination sleeping, drinking and dining. With 208 rooms, a restaurant which serves up classic American run by the Soho House group, courtyard garden and uber-cool Meeting and Events space themed on a Manhattan loft apartment - where Nomad screenings take place - the hotel proves that you don’t need to sacrifice style for budget.

Hoxton events are at the heart of the hotel with a monthly eclectic, fun-filled programme including everything from cinema clubs to pop-up hair salons. With all of this going on, it’s pretty easy to see why the Hox clearly rocks…

Hoxton screenings inlude a drink and nibbles on arrival.

Just like The Lexi Cinema, The Nomad financially supports the fantastic work of trailblazing charity, The Sustainability Institute. Find out more...
